Hi There!

My name is Shawna and I'm the nutritionist and founder of Synergy Nutrition. I started my plant based journey in 1993 when I decided to go vegetarian, and then eventually vegan in 2002. Being new to plant based eating, I wanted to ensure I was meeting my nutritional needs so I decided to study at the University of British Columbia where I graduated with honours with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. Wanting to learn even more, I also graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I have been helping both new and long term vegans balance their plant based diets and support their gut health for the last 12 years, as well as teaching nutrition and vegan cooking classes.
